Media entities who were interested in membership with the MAJ were invited to attend a sensitization presentation.

The presentation included:-

• MAJ Mission

• Current industry dynamics

• Economic performance and its effect on media houses

• Effect of changing media landscape

• Recent Regulator sustainability and its effects

• Achievements and disappointments of the New Defamation Act

• Benefits of joining the MAJ

• Qualifications and dues for new members

• Various discussions were held on MAJ’s current issues.

It was noted that efforts had to be made to ensure that the media could survive on any changes made by the government or regulators and this would be more effective by building strength in numbers.
