With a view to expanding its membership base, MAJ has been encouraging media entities to join the Association.  Strength in numbers would be more effective in addressing issues that are affecting the industry and society.

A presentation on MAJ to prospective members was made in December 2013.  It was repeated at the Heads of Media meeting for the above-mentioned media houses that expressed interest in membership.

The Vice-Chairman, Mr. Gary Allen, advised that although members were competitors, they cooperated on certain elements for a healthy industry. He informed the guests on the history and activities of the MAJ, its relationship with Advertising  Agencies and the effect of the economic conditions on media.  He expanded on the MAJ’s relationship with the regulator and current issues being discussed such as digital switchover and Payola.
